What are you most worried about for the future?

I am a bit worried about the monotonous life that I have. I wish I can come out of this running behind money and start to explore the world a lot more. But a new episode in London has started , Hope this will go for a while. Or rather , I should find a balance between my daily routine and exploration where my London episode is very much towards it.

Though I am into something or the other every year, I wish something sustains to become a lifelong habit. Change is the only permanent thing, is proven every year in my life.

My Introvertness is another worry. I wish I have atleast 5, 10 people around me, chit chatting, bringing in new thoughts , ideas, exploring or researching new things as a group. I have a specific requirement in everything and have to work a bit on this to fix this.

Was feeling a bit lonely in the last 3,4 months moving to London. Hopefully that should be solved sooner .

I have my entrepreneurial thoughts in which I haven’t moved an inch. Just for the sake or starting a company, I don’t wish to start one. Also not inclined towards the service sector. But unfortunately all my experience lies on the service side. Tried a few courses on product management and quantum compyting but still lacking the fire to start one.

It’s just 3 out of the hundreds of things I am happy about or have achieved. Capping at 100, 3% is not a bad number.

I have heard that when a problem is written it gets solved, let’s take stock on this after a while.

How do you waste the most time every day?

There is never a “Wasting time” when I consider “me” as a whole person.  There will be indulgence in some form or the other, consciously or sub consciously by a piece of you. Even in sleep , my body parts function to keep me physically alive.

Having said so, “Wasting time” could be considered as, spending time in something unimportant. I do this a lot of time, watching/reaching something or the other on social media. Youtube, Insta, blogs etc.

“Wasting time” could be considered as not doing anything and sitting idle. This is a much needed time and one of the most difficult tasks in the world. I do this as well whenever possible . I meditate.

Wasting time is quite a rough topic , hence I reached our to chatgpt for help for more information. As per, chatgpt,  here are the common ways to waste time:

  • TV shows movies
  • Video games
  • Surfing Internet, social media
  • Reading books or magazines
  • Engaging in hobbies
  • Exercising
  • Exploring nature
  • Listening to music
  • Day dreaming

Surprised that midday sleep was not considered in the list by chatgpt.

I love the last one in the list..I do that often. Especially on a couch after a typical south indian breakfast of “ven pongal” or after a good wife cooked biriyani for lunch. Transitioning from day dreaming to midday sleep , wowwaaah what an experience.

I asked chatgpt, how famous personalities wasted time. The list was almost similar with philanthropy, socializing and travelling added to the list

I asked chatgpt about an interesting Incident.  It shared the story of Charles Fey, an engineer from SFO was bored and invented a machine to entertain people. Inspired by poker, he invented a machine and called that as “liberty bell”. He installed this in the local bars and saloons. It quickly gained popularity, captivating people for its excitement and the potential winning offered and later revolutionized the gambling industry.

Little did Fey know that his boredom activity would be a future Innovation. It was later called as the “slot machine”

Thus i wasted a good amount of time with chatgpt for this post 😉

Thanks

Mukund

Excuse typos as I type this from mobile and the auto correct helps most of the times but plays sometimes.
